When you arrive

When you arrive, please be aware that there are two entrances to our hospital! Keep an eye out for the signs when you approach the building. You will find signs directing you to our large and small animal entrances!

The large animal entrance is down a few steps. Please feel free to come in the small animal entrance if stairs are not an option for you.

Checking in

Small animal patients:  Welcome! Please check in at our front desk. Our customer service representatives are here to help you. Our new client registration form is available online, click here. You also have the option to complete the paperwork on arrival.

Large animal patients: Welcome! Please pull your vehicle or truck and trailer in the drive and continue behind the building.  Someone should be with you shortly. You may also call to alert us of your arrival.

Exam rooms

Once you have checked in and filled out the forms, you will be escorted to one of our exam rooms. A veterinary technician will be in shortly to gather a history and/or review our preventative health care plan.

The exam

After the veterinary technician has the information needed, they will relay this information to the veterinarian and return to you and your pets shortly. The veterinarian will perform a thorough examination of your pet. For preventative health appointments, if needed, vaccines will be administered and samples for yearly testing for parasites would be obtained. Preventative yearly lab work is also recommended for most pets. During appointments for ill or injured pets, extensive diagnostics are available, such as blood and other laboratory tests, x-rays, and ultrasound. These services can be performed during your visit in most cases.

We stock our exam rooms with tasty treats to help you pets be more comfortable. Your pet may have some anxiety, stress or fear during their visit or maybe even with the car ride or pet carrier. If your pet has a history of anxiety or stress, please bring this to our attention so we can assist you and your pet to have the best visit possible.

The treatment room

For some of our services, we might ask to take your pet to our treatment area to obtain samples for testing or to perform some tests, such as radiographs. For safety purposes, only employees are allowed in the treatment area.

Some pets are protective of their owners, so we might ask to take your pet to the treatment area to facilitate our ability to care for them safely.
