Dr. Roberta Lillich (OSU '96) and Dr. Scott Pretzer (KSU '98) work full time to meet the needs of your pet. Dr. Lillich has special interest in feline medicine and geriatrics. She is a member of the American Association of Feline Practitioners. Dr. Pretzer is a member of the Kansas Veterinary Medical Association and both Drs. Pretzer and Lillich are active members in the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Society for Theriogenology. Dr. Pretzer's special interest is in orthopedic and general surgery. He is the principal surgeon at AAH and has participated in extensive continuing education in surgery and medicine. Our small animal technicians are dedicated to the advancement their knowledge and skills through frequent continuing education meetings and seminars. Drs. Lillich and Pretzer provide advanced reproductive services to assist our clients in improving their breeding programs. The AAH doctors, along with our experienced and caring staff, provide a variety of special services aimed at keeping your pets happy and healthy.

Greyhounds

Abilene, Kansas is the proud home of the National Greyhound Association and the Greyhound Hall of Fame. Drs. Lillich and Pretzer focus on the special needs and care of the racing and breeding greyhound. Dr. Pretzer has specialized training and experience in orthopedic surgery for the repair of racing injuries and fractures. Drs. Pretzer and Lillich provide specialized techniques in canine reproduction that improve the breeding success in Greyhounds as well as other dogs. Skill in transcervical and surgical insemination, hormonal diagnostics and semen freezing greatly improve the success rate in canine reproduction. The AAH technicians, doctors and staff well trained and experienced in radiographic technique and bandage care for the racing dogs.

Dr. Michael Whitehair (KSU '74)and Dr. Jon Gose (KSU '03) provide diagnostic, surgical and treatment services for our bovine and equine clients. Dr. Whitehair comes from a cattle background, giving him an understanding of the industry as a whole. Dr. Whitehair is a past president of the Kansas Veterinary Medical Association, is active in the Academy of Veterinary Consultants and is a Member of the House Advisory Committee of the American Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Whitehair is also a member of the American Association of Bovine Practitioners. These associations help keep him in touch with the latest technologies associated with stocker/feeders, beef cow/calf and dairy industries. Dr. Gose has primary interest in equine medicine, soft tissue surgery and equine reproduction. Assisted reproductive technologies such as frozen semen and embryo transfer, along with ultrasound diagnostic imaging techniques, provide advanced technical cabilities to offer equine clients. Dr. Gose is a member of the American Association of Equine Practitioners as well as a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association.

Drs. Steve Henry, Diplomate ABVP (KSU '72), Lisa Tokach, Diplomate ABVP (U of MN '90) are specialists in swine production medicine and regularly serve clients throughout North America. In addition, they serve as consultants to pork producers in Central America, South America and Asia. Their expertise is in diagnostic medicine, disease prevention, pathogen elimination and maximizing the productivity of swine herds. Both veterinarians are active in the American Association of Swine Veterinarians (AASV), as well as the local and national veterinary medical associations. Both are frequent speakers and presenters at veterinary and producer conferences. Dr. Henry is past president of AASV and recipient of the Swine Practitioner of the Year, KPPC Industry Service, A.D. Leman Science in Practice and the Howard Dunne Memorial awards. Drs. Henry and Tokach are Dipomates of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners in Swine Health Management and are considered experts in the field of swine management. Dr. Tokach serves on the AASV Board of Directors, is also a past president of AASV and is also a recipient of the KPPC Industry Service award.
